A Step-by-Step Guide to Seeking Treatment

Taking the first step toward treatment can feel overwhelming. At Three Rivers Indian Lodge, we keep the intake process simple, respectful, and supportive.

Whether you’re reaching out for yourself or on behalf of a family member, you're not alone. Here’s exactly how to begin services through our 90-day residential treatment program for Native American men in Manteca, California.

Step 1: Complete the Pre-Application Form

The best way to begin is by submitting our online Pre-Application Form. This helps our intake team understand your situation and determine eligibility.

You’ll be asked for:

  • Basic contact information

  • Tribal affiliation (if applicable)

  • General reason for treatment

  • Current housing or crisis needs

Please do NOT include detailed medical or private personal information. A confidential intake call will follow.

Step 2: Intake Officer Calls to Review Your Application

Once your form is sent in, our registration coordinator will contact you typically within 1–2 business days to discuss:

  • Program availability

  • Eligibility requirements

  • Treatment expectations

  • Transportation or referral support

If you're in immediate crisis, call us directly.

Intake Office: (209) 858-2421

Step 3: Initial Screening & Readiness Discussion

You’ll participate in a screening call (or in-person if local), which may include:

  • Substance use history

  • Mental health and wellness needs

  • Cultural and spiritual preferences

  • Readiness to enter the program

This is a judgment-free conversation focused on how we can support your healing.

Step 4: Admission Scheduling & Arrival Planning

If approved for intake, our team will help coordinate:

  • Admission date

  • Transportation (if needed)

  • What to bring (and what not to bring)

  • Any required referral or documentation

We also provide guidance for communicating with family and preparing for transition.

Step 5: Begin Your Healing Journey

Upon arrival, you’ll meet with staff, receive orientation, and begin engaging in treatment. At Three Rivers, healing starts by restoring balance in mind, body, and spirit, integrating counseling with cultural practices.

“When I got here, I didn’t feel like a client—I felt like I was finally somewhere I belonged.”— Former Client
